Description
Butler has had proven results with Comp Cams. These cams are custom grinds that we stock on the shelf. This takes the headache out of trying to get the custom grind for your application. We have spend lots of resources perfecting the components of our proven engines and these cams are the common grinds you will find inside them. We realized that we were asking for the same custom grinds for our applications so we decided to stock what we use.

Slightly more vacuum than a 112 and produces a little smoother idle.

I was looking for a cam that would retain stock manners, utilize an intake that would fit under the hood, and run well in a 1969 Firebird Convertable.
The problem: how much cam before power brakes become ineffective due to lack of idle vacuum, rough idle issues, etc. I noticed the factory RA4 cam utilized a 114LS like this cam for improved idle manners and to broaden the power range. Installed this cam in our 60 over 455 with out of the box Edelbrock D port heads, factory iron intake, HEI, and a spread bore carb. Dyno'd at a broad flat torque of 557 at peaking at 3700 rpm and 490 HP at 5400 rpm. Vacuum at idle 15! Idle is great. Exactly what I wanted, thank you for the great product guidance Greg and Jim!

Perfect cam for street machine. 490 hp, 577 tq, 15 inches of vacuum, 800 idle with a stock intake. Dyno numbers, not bs.
