Tubes are pre-polished to remove scratches and the header is finished with a Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating polished to a high luster appearance offering corrosion and heat resistance up to 1400 degrees
Doug's COATED(-C) Headers come with a ceramic heat barrier and rust proof coating (polished aluminum color)

I have never put on headers that were this well designed for my car (1968 firebird 400 deleted ac box). Headers in general end up being a cussing fest for me and whoever is helping me, but I literally bolted these up within 20 minutes BY MYSELF. No mods, no hammering, no massaging nothing. Slid right in and bolted down.
Additionally, the quality of these are top notch. The steel is very thick as are the flanges and the finish is gorgeous and stout not to mention functional. The heat reduction these give you is amazing.
I can't say enough good things about these and Butler had the best price by far.
Spend the few extra bucks and get these; it'll save you hours of work, fitting and busted knuckles.
My first pair of Doug's and I'll never buy anything else.
