No More Stud Flex — Rocker Arms- Shaft Mount for Pontiac V8s
Shaft mount rocker arms replace the stud-and-ball arrangement with rockers carried on a solid shaft bolted to the head. That removes stud flex from the equation, holds geometry under heavy spring loads and keeps ratio honest at high rpm, which is why serious Pontiac V8 combinations end up here.

1. Why Go To A Shaft
A stud-mounted rocker is only as stable as the stud under it. Once open spring pressures climb, that stud becomes the weak link in the geometry.

2. Match The Assembly To The Casting
Shaft rockers are bought by cylinder head, never by displacement. The stands have to land where the head has material.
| Cast iron and KRE D-port | T&D part 9010 covers cast iron heads and KRE D-port heads. Yella Terra part 6369 is a standard paired shaft rocker set in 1.65 ratio for stock Pontiac cast iron D-port and KRE D-port heads only. |
| Edelbrock heads | T&D part 9020 is the standard Edelbrock head assembly. Yella Terra part 6372 is the standard paired 1.65 set for Edelbrock heads. |

3. Plan The Rest Of The Top End
Going to a shaft changes more than the rocker.
| Pushrod length | the pivot point moves, so the pushrod length you had is almost certainly wrong. Check it and order to the measurement. |
| Valve cover clearance | shaft assemblies sit differently than stud rockers. Confirm your covers clear before final assembly. |
| Specify your ratio | T&D assemblies are built to the ratio you call out, so have your cam card and your spring package in front of you when you order. |
