1. What is in the box
This is a system rather than a tank, which is the whole reason to choose it over a bare EFI-ready tank you have to populate yourself.

| Sender | A fuel level sender included with the correct ohm range for your factory gauges, with 1/4" NPT supply and return ports and a barbed vent fitting. |

2. Finding your application
These are direct fit by year and chassis, and several Firebird and GTO applications are listed twice for a reason.

| Notched corner versions | The 1967-68, 1969 and 1970-73 Firebird tanks are each offered in a standard and a notched-corner version. Compare the tank in the car before ordering, because the two are not interchangeable. |

3. Sniper tank or Tanks Inc tank
Butler carries both, and they solve the same problem in two different ways. This is the decision worth making before you order.
| Choose Sniper when | You want the pump, sender and baffling already matched and installed, you are running a Sniper or similar EFI system, and 550 EFI horsepower is comfortably above what the engine makes. |
| Choose Tanks Inc when | You want to select the pump flow rating yourself, need more than the 255 lph pump supports, or want to pick the sender ohm range for a non-factory gauge. |
| Either way | Both give you the baffled reservoir an in-tank EFI pump has to have, which is the thing a stock tank cannot provide. |
4. Installation notes
A few things Butler's product data calls out that are easier to handle before the tank goes up than after.
| Filler neck | The kit includes the filler neck, but hose clamps are not included for the two-piece neck. Have them on hand. |
| Plumbing | The sender's 1/4" NPT supply and return ports are what your fuel line connects to, so plan the line and fitting sizes around that. |
| Wiring | Any in-tank electric pump wants a relay and adequate wire gauge. Butler stocks 30 amp relay and wiring kits. |
| Regulator | An EFI system needs a regulator sized for EFI pressure. If you are running this pump on a carburetor instead, you need a bypass regulator set for carb pressure. |
For most street EFI conversions on a Pontiac, this is the shortest path from a rusty original tank to a fuel system that works. Confirm the notched-corner question on Firebirds, and order the clamps and relay with the tank.
