Edelbrock intake manifolds are the backbone of the Pontiac aftermarket, and the whole line is chosen by two things: the rpm range you intend to use and the hood clearance you actually have. Performer, Performer RPM, Torker II, Victor Jr and Victor each move the powerband, and each sits at a different height above the block.
Butler stocks the Pontiac 326-455 line in satin, black and chrome plasma, carbureted and EFI, including versions CNC port matched in house to out-of-box Edelbrock heads, Butler 310/315/325 and 340 CNC heads, or your own ported castings.

More About Edelbrock Intakes
1. Start With the Powerband
Every manifold on this page is correct for something and wrong for something else. Edelbrock publishes an operating range for each, and it is the honest place to start.
| Performer, idle to 5500 rpm | a dual-plane designed for stock or slightly modified heads, with great low-speed throttle response. It clears a stock hood. Choose it for a numbers-matching rebuild or a mild street 326-455 that needs to feel like a Pontiac from idle. |
| Performer RPM, 1500 to 6500 rpm | a dual-plane high-rise with a 180 degree firing order, larger plenum and larger runners, built to match high-lift cams and free-flowing exhaust. The default choice for a modified street or street/strip engine. |
| Torker II, 2500 to 6500 rpm | a single-plane low-rise for engines with ported heads that demand airflow, and Edelbrock calls out 389, 400 and 428 engines in particular. It can be used with Ram Air IV heads. |
| Victor and Victor Jr | single-plane race manifolds for high-horsepower builds. This is where you go when the heads and the converter have moved past what a dual-plane will feed. |
2. Then Measure the Hood
This is where more Pontiac intake purchases go wrong than anywhere else, particularly on second-generation Firebirds and Trans Ams.
| Performer | stock height. Clears a stock hood. |
| Performer RPM | 7/8 inch taller than stock, and it will not fit under a Trans Am shaker hood without modifications. Butler's drop base shaker assemblies exist specifically to solve this. |
| Torker II | .400 inch taller than stock — a low-profile single plane by design — but it will not fit under a Trans Am shaker hood either. |
| Victor Jr | the exception. Its carburetor height and angle match the Performer RPM 7156, so it clears second-generation Trans Am shaker hoods while still giving Victor-sized runners. |
3. Fitment Rules That Apply to the Whole Line
| Years and engines | the Pontiac manifolds are designed for 1965-79 326-455 cubic inch V8s, excluding the Ram Air V and the 265/301 V8s. They will not fit pre-1965 heads. |
| Carb flange | Performer and Performer RPM carry a dual flange for either a Quadrajet or a Holley 4150, so a spread-bore carburetor is not a dead end. |
| Distributor | the Performer, Performer RPM and Performer RPM Oldsmobile manifolds have clearance for an HEI. |
| Finishes | Performer RPM is stocked in satin, black and chrome plasma. The finish does not change the casting, only what you look at with the hood up. |
4. The Victor Jr and the 3D-Printed Cores
The Pontiac Victor Jr is worth its own paragraph because of how it is made. It is the first Edelbrock full-production manifold built with 3D-printed intake cores. Traditional sand-cast tooling needs a draft angle in the runner, which leaves the as-cast runner exits oversized and uneven — the reason so many race intakes need hand port matching before they perform. The printed cores eliminate the draft, so runner exits come out correctly sized and shaped with little to no port matching required.
5. EFI and Multi-Carb Options
| EFI castings | Butler stocks Torker II EFI and Super Victor EFI Pontiac manifolds alongside the carbureted versions, plus the multi-port EFI Victor Jr. If EFI is in the plan later, buy the EFI casting now rather than adapting one. |
| Manifold and carb kits | Edelbrock's single-quad manifold and carb kit for 1965-79 Pontiac 389-455 ships an Edelbrock manifold, a Performer or AVS2 carburetor, chrome fuel inlet, intake gasket set, intake bolt set and carb stud kit in one box — the simplest way to do a complete induction swap without chasing small parts. |
| Two fours | an Offenhauser low-rise 2x4 manifold for 1965 and up is available with Holley and Carter AFB bolt patterns. It requires a universal linkage kit, which is not included. |
| Oldsmobile outlier | a Performer RPM for Olds 330-403 is also stocked port matched to 61025 heads, for the BOP crowd running an Olds between Pontiac projects. |
6. Port Matched In House
Every casting on this page can be bought already CNC port matched by Butler. An intake and a cylinder head are cast separately and never machined to meet each other, so out of the box there is a step or offset at the port face that trips air and fuel right at the doorway to the cylinder. Butler models the actual head port in 3D, programs repeatable toolpaths and cuts the manifold on a 5-axis Haas UMC with dedicated fixturing, then blends each opening back into the casting so the transition is gradual and identical on all eight ports.
| Out-of-box Edelbrock heads | even a brand-new intake and brand-new Edelbrock heads do not line up, because both castings carry extra stock at the port face. This option cuts the manifold to the true out-of-box D-port or round-port opening. |
| Butler 310/315/325 CNC heads | these ports are enlarged, reshaped and repositioned against a stock casting, so a standard manifold leaves a real step. The manifold is cut to that exact port map. |
| Butler 340 CNC heads | the larger, higher-flowing 340 port machined in and blended into the runner. |
| Your ported heads | specify port width and height, or the cylinder head you are running, in the input box. More detail means a better match. |
Buy the manifold for the rpm range the engine will actually live in, confirm the hood before you order, and if the heads are ported, let the machine cut the match rather than a die grinder on the bench.
