Body by Body — Engine Mount Bolts & Kits for Pontiac V8s
Engine mount bolt kits are chassis parts, not engine parts. What fits a 1964-72 A-body does not fit a 1975-81 Firebird, and the bolts that hold the mount to the block are a different length than the long bolts that run through the frame stand.
Butler builds engine mount and frame mount bolt kits for 1964-72 GTO, LeMans and Tempest, 1967-69 Firebird, 1972-74 X-body, full-size Catalina, Bonneville and Grand Prix applications, and 1975-81 Firebird — matched to specific Butler and Ames mount part numbers, and good for solid, rubber or polyurethane mounts.

1. Find Your Chassis
These kits are built around the mount they bolt to, so order by the mount part number if you know it.

| 1964-72 A-body, mount bolts only | BPI-BOLT-KIT-EM5 covers the BPI-2255-6P motor mount bolts by themselves, with no long bolts for attaching to the frame mounts. If you need the whole joint, order EM1 instead. |

2. Ordering Without Guessing
Two questions settle almost every one of these.
| Which half are you replacing | the mount-to-block bolts, the long through-bolts into the frame stand, or both. The A-body kits are split exactly on that line. |
| What mount is going in | these kits are listed against real mount part numbers. A solid mount, a rubber mount and a poly mount on the same chassis share a kit, but a different chassis does not. |
| Swapped frame stands | if an early F-body has later frame mounts under it, order by the frame mounts that are actually bolted to the car. |
If the mounts and the bolts are both coming from Butler, give the counter the chassis year, the body and the mount part number, and the kit falls out of that in one step.
