Four Ways In — Holley EFI SYSTEMS for Pontiac V8s
Holley EFI Systems replace the carburetor with a throttle body that looks close to stock and wires up with four connections: battery positive, battery negative, switched ignition and RPM. A calibration wizard builds the base map from a few answers about your engine, then a Bosch wide-band oxygen sensor lets the ECU self-tune while you drive it.
Butler splits the Holley line into Sniper and Sniper 2, Sniper Stealth for carburetor styling, and Terminator X Stealth for eight-injector and boosted combinations. Sniper service parts, displays, the Power Distribution Module and ignition adapter harnesses live under EFI Components.

1. Which Holley group you are shopping
All of these are throttle body systems that bolt where a carburetor came off. What separates them is flange style, injector count and how much of the tuning you are expected to touch.

2. Sizing the throttle body honestly
Holley rates these by injector capacity, and the naturally aspirated number and the boosted number are rarely the same. Read both before you buy.
| Four 100 lb/hr injectors | Sniper 2 supports up to 650hp naturally aspirated or 575hp on boost. Sniper Stealth 4150 supports up to 650hp N/A or 600hp on forced induction. |
| Eight 100 lb/hr injectors | Terminator X Stealth 1250 supports up to 650hp naturally aspirated or 1250hp on forced induction. The eight-injector systems buy you boost headroom, not naturally aspirated horsepower. |

3. What the system does not include
The throttle body is the easy half of a Holley conversion. Plan the rest before the box shows up.
| Fuel pressure | The Stealth and Terminator X systems require an external fuel pressure regulator set to a base pressure of 58.5 PSI, and a return line back to the tank. Butler's Complete EFI Solutions kits cover the tank, pump, line and regulator in one package. |
| Ignition | Every one of these has integrated timing control. Sniper 2 harnesses include plug-and-play HyperSpark distributor support; adapters exist for CD boxes and MSD Pro Billet or crank trigger setups. |
| Interface | A 3.5 inch full color touchscreen handles setup, tuning and gauge display. Sniper 2 can also run a Bluetooth module to a phone, or a 5 inch digital dash with a GPS speedometer. |
If you are converting a mostly original car, start with the Quadrajet and Stealth pages, because hood clearance and air cleaner fit usually decide the system before horsepower does. If the engine is already built, size by injector capacity first.
