1. Distributor Clamps
The clamp holds your timing. A clamp that lets the distributor creep is a timing problem that looks like everything else.
| Butler billet | 6061 billet aluminum, multi-axis CNC milled in Butler's own shop and custom designed for the offset and elevation of stock and aftermarket blocks. The posts are grooved to grip the distributor and the bolt hole is slotted for adjustment. It comes with a stainless bolt and washer. |

2. The Super Duty and Ram Air V Sleeve
This is the part nobody knows they need until the distributor drops into the hole with room to spare.
| What it solves | 1973-74 Super Duty and Ram Air V blocks have a larger distributor hole. The Butler sleeve lets any distributor fit them. |
| What is in the box | The sleeve, a gasket, an 11/64 drill bit marked to depth, and the set screw. |
| How it goes together | The sleeve slides over the distributor, the set screw is hand tightened, then the distributor is rotated 180 degrees to reach the set screw guide hole so you can drill through it to the painted depth on the bit. Loosen the screw, align the sleeve to the new hole and tighten it in. |
3. Wire Separators and Looms
Plug wires lying on a header are a miss waiting to happen and a set of wires you will buy twice.

4. Shims, Adapters and Timing Tools
The odds and ends that make a distributor sit right and let you see what the engine is actually doing.
| Shim kit | The Moroso distributor shim kit includes two 0.010" shims, two 0.020" shims and one 0.053" shim, for setting distributor gear height against the cam. |
| Tach adapter | If you are using the magnetic pickup input on the green and violet wires to trigger an MSD ignition, the MSD tach adapter corrects the operation of most voltage-triggered tachometers that will not work off the tach output terminal. It should also be used on current-triggered tachs wired in series with the ignition switch. |
| Connectors | The MSD two pin connector kit replaces damaged connectors or supports custom wiring, with two connectors and four pins per kit. |
| Timing tapes | MSD timing tapes cover balancers from 5.25" to 8.00" in diameter and read from 64 degrees before top dead center to 14 after, which is how you verify total timing on a balancer with no marks past ten. |
Add the clamp and the separators to the distributor order. They cost very little and they are the two parts most likely to be missing when the engine is otherwise ready to fire.
