Keep It Running — EFI Components for Pontiac V8s
EFI Components are the pieces that keep an injection system alive after the kit is installed: oxygen sensors, MAP and temperature sensors, idle air control valves, injectors, fuel rails, displays and the wiring modules that tidy up the install. When a self-tuning system starts running badly, a sensor is usually the reason before the ECU ever is.
Butler stocks FAST sensors for EZ-EFI and XFI systems, Holley service parts for Sniper and Terminator X, and Edelbrock high-impedance PICO injectors and Pontiac fuel rails for Torker II and Super Victor EFI intakes.

More About EFI Components
1. Oxygen sensors: match the system, not just the thread
The wide-band oxygen sensor is what makes a self-tuning system self-tuning, and it is a wear item. Buy the one your ECU expects.
| FAST XFI, LHA-type | A 5-wire replacement oxygen sensor reading 10:1 to 16:1 air/fuel over a 0-12V range, thread-in mount, harness included. This is the XFI sensor. |
| FAST EZ-EFI wide-band | A 5-wire Bosch wide-band for EZ-EFI systems and the FAST O2 meter, 0-5V range with a 3 flat male harness plug. Not the same part as the XFI sensor despite both being 5-wire. |
| Holley wide-band | A replacement Bosch wide-band service sensor for Sniper EFI and Terminator X systems, with anti-seize already applied to the threads. |
| Bung | None of these include an oxygen sensor bung. If you are building new exhaust, get the bung located before the pipe is finished. |
2. MAP, temperature and idle air
These are the cheap parts that decide whether the ECU has an accurate picture of the engine.
| 1-Bar MAP | A GM-style universal 1-bar sensor covers naturally aspirated engines. That is the right part for the overwhelming majority of Pontiac V8 street and strip builds. |
| 3-Bar MAP | The same GM-style universal package with the range to read boost. If there is a blower or turbo on the engine, this is the sensor. |
| Temperature sensors | FAST air temperature and brass water temperature sensors, both 3/8 in. NPT, feed the ECU the correction data it uses to fuel a cold start and a hot restart. |
| Idle air control | The GM/LT1 IAC valve for FAST throttle bodies uses a small electric motor to hold idle rpm exactly where you set it in the ECU parameters. |
3. Injectors and fuel rails for a Pontiac port setup
If you are running multi-port on a Pontiac, the injector and rail have to match both the intake and the ECU's driver type.
| PICO injectors, 35 lb/hr | A high-impedance set of eight at 16 ohms, 340.0 cc/min advertised flow, Jetronic/Minitimer plug style, 12V saturated circuit driver, O-rings included. High impedance is what EZ-EFI and XFI Sportsman require. |
| Torker II fuel rail kit | CNC machined from aluminum extrusion, polished then hard anodized for use with racing fuel, with a -6AN O-ring boss inlet. Built for the Edelbrock Torker II Pontiac EFI manifolds and PICO injectors. |
| Super Victor fuel rail kit | Aluminum rails for Super Victor EFI Pontiac intakes with a 9/16 in. fuel passage, flow-through design and 3/8 in. NPT on both ends. Works with standard or PICO injectors. |
4. Sniper 2 wiring, displays and adapters
Holley builds an ecosystem around the Sniper throttle body, and these are the pieces that clean up an install or add a function after the fact.
| Power Distribution Module | Isolates the core of the EFI and ignition wiring into one location with three relay channels, a 15A powertrain circuit, 25A fuel pump and 25A fan outputs, LED status indicators and the wiring diagram printed inside the lid. |
| Bluetooth module | Plugs into the Sniper 2 ECU so an iOS or Android phone can run the wizard, basic and advanced tuning, and input/output control without a laptop. |
| 5 inch digital dash | Three pre-loaded customizable screens, built-in tuning and datalogging, expandable micro-SD storage and a magnetic GPS antenna for true vehicle speed. |
| Dual Sync adapter harness | Connects a Sniper EFI installation to a Holley Dual Sync distributor. Plug both connectors, terminate the pink wire to switched 12V, done. |
When you are troubleshooting, work from the sensors outward. A lazy oxygen sensor or a MAP sensor with the wrong range will make a perfectly good ECU look broken. Have your system name and part number handy when you call and we will match the right service part.
