1. Where it is going to live
Before the panel choice, decide where the hardware mounts. That drives which version to buy more than the feature list does.
| Component layout | the tank, dual Thomas 319 compressors, RidePro valve block and 1/4" lines can be split up and tucked into separate spaces around a trunk or under a floor. |
| Prewired AirPod | arrives assembled and tested as one unit on the 5 gallon tank. Faster to install, but it needs a single clear space to sit in. |
| Cover | a cover is available for the 5 gallon AirPod, which matters if the assembly ends up somewhere people will see it. |
2. How much automation you want
Both control options run the same valve hardware. What differs is whether the car manages itself.
| Analog | rocker switches and dual-needle gauges. You set the corners yourself. It converts to digital leveling later through the RidePRO-X ECM package, so it is not a dead end. |
| RidePro E5 | touchscreen, keypad, height presets, self-adjustment at every key-on including compensation for a loaded car, and smartphone control over Bluetooth. |
| Height sensors | the RidePro-HP kit adds four sensors and linkage to an E5 so the system reads position as well as pressure, which keeps a corner from cross-loading under hard braking or a quick transition. E5 only. |
One sizing note before you order: the 5 gallon dual compressor packages here are specified for vehicles over 3500 lbs, which takes in essentially every Pontiac V8 car these systems get installed on.
