2. Balancing is still not optional
The one rule Butler applies to every rotating assembly it sells, in any engine family, is that it has to be balanced before it goes together.
| The Butler Process | Our machinists put assemblies through a multi-step inspection, weigh and pin-fit the rods and pistons as needed, and computer balance the crankshaft to the rest of the assembly. Weights and information are documented on a balance card that ships with the assembly. |
| Internal balance means neutral parts | An internally balanced assembly needs a neutral-balanced flexplate or flywheel and a neutral harmonic balancer. Confirm what your combination requires before ordering either. |
