Pontiac V8 Hose Kits & Accessories
Everything In Between — Hose Kits & Accessories for Pontiac V8s
Hose kits and accessories are everything between the tank and the carburetor that is not the pump. On a Pontiac V8 this is where a fuel system either becomes a clean, serviceable install or a collection of mismatched adapters. It is also where you find the parts that finish a job, like the block-off plate for a timing cover after you go electric.
Butler builds custom AN lines cut to length in its own shop, stocks complete fuel line kits for carbureted and EFI engines, Pontiac fuel pump block-off plates machined in house, and pump to carb inlet kits matched to specific pump and carburetor combinations.

More About Hose Kits & Accessories
1. Complete fuel line kits
If you are plumbing a car from the tank forward, a kit gets you the hose and most of the fittings in one box instead of six trips to the counter.
| Carbureted with bypass regulator | Includes 25 feet of -6AN black Twist-Lok hose, straight, 45 and 90 degree Twist-Lok fittings, a 10 micron filter with quick disconnect fittings, pump adapter fittings, and an Edelbrock carbureted bypass regulator with its ORB adapters. It is a return style kit, adjustable from 5 to 10 psi, and is not recommended for pumps flowing over 255 lph. A -6AN male carb adapter fitting is required at the carburetor. |
| EFI with bypass regulator | The same 25 feet of hose and fitting assortment with a 10 micron filter and an Edelbrock EFI adjustable bypass regulator, adjustable from 35 to 90 psi. |
| Universal without regulator | A line kit for builds where the regulator is already chosen or already on the car. |
| Holley EFI line kits | 40 foot Sniper-compatible EFI fuel line kits, offered with or without a pump. |
2. Custom AN line
When a kit does not fit the routing, Butler cuts line to your specification rather than selling you more hose than the car needs.
| Cut to length | Butler will cut exactly what you need without waste, and you choose the fittings for each line. |
| Hose choice | Black or stainless braided. |
| Fitting finish | Endura or black. |
| Assembled or not | Leave it as a kit to assemble yourself, or have Butler build it in the shop. |
3. Pump to carb inlet kits
These are Butler-assembled kits that connect a specific mechanical pump to a specific carburetor, with the hose, fittings and a filter already matched. They exist because the fitting combination is different for every pairing.
| Rob Mc pump to Holley | Built for a dual inlet Holley carb, in -6AN and -8AN versions. A typical kit includes a straight hose end, a 90 degree hose end, two full flow swivel 45 degree elbows, a 3" competition fuel filter, flare-to-NPT adapters and hose trimmed to fit. |
| Rob Mc pump to Pontiac Quadrajet | The same idea with the fittings a QJet inlet requires. |
| Carter or Holley pump | Kits to either a Pontiac Quadrajet or a Holley. |
| Edelbrock pump | Kits to either a Pontiac Quadrajet or a Holley. |
| Check the pump first | The Rob Mc inlet kits assume a particular inlet setup on the carburetor, and Butler notes they will not work with the 1100 hp Rob Mc pump that requires a regulator. Read the kit notes against your carb before ordering. |
4. Block-off plates, fittings and tank parts
The small parts that finish a conversion, and one fitment trap worth knowing.
| Pontiac block-off plates | When you go electric, the mechanical pump opening in the timing cover has to be sealed. Butler machines billet aluminum Pontiac-logo block-off plates in its own CNC shop in powder coated and black versions, and also stocks Edelbrock and RPC plates. Hardware is not included; Butler notes most timing covers use 5/16" bolts with some early ones at 3/8", and recommends 3/4" bolt length. |
| The trap | One of the RPC block-off plates is listed for V6 and others with a 1-3/4" center, not the Pontiac V8 pattern. Check the bolt spacing before ordering a plate. |
| Y-blocks | A Russell billet fuel Y-block with a 3/8" NPT female single inlet, dual 3/8" NPT female outlets and a 1/8" NPT gauge port, for feeding a dual inlet carburetor. |
| Adapters | Russell 90 degree -6 flare to 1/4 NPT elbows in black and Endura, and a brass 1/4 male pipe to 3/8 hose barb fitting used to adapt the 1/4" NPT port on a Holley or Carter mechanical pump to 3/8" hose. |
| Rollover vent valve | A brass in-tank rollover vent valve that threads into the PA series pump assembly's 1/4" NPT top plate fitting. Butler is clear that a tank converted to fuel injection must be properly vented. |
Work out the whole path before ordering: pump port sizes, line size, filter locations, carb inlet and where the return goes. Fittings are cheap individually and expensive when you buy them three at a time over three weeks.
