Cars » Charlie Kropewnicki's 69 Firebird 400 Convertible
I shipped my 400 block to butler and asked for a complete running and tested crate engine. This was a three year nut and bolt restoration, paint and body work was performed by Scot Driy in Manchester MO. The engine is a 461 that was dyno tested at 504 hp and 582 ft-lb of torque which is fun for street cruising.
The transmission is a 400 hydromatic that was slightly massaged and a gear vendor overdrive that delivers power to a Moser rear 33 spline true track rear with a 355:1 gear ratio. Works really well on the highway, I also utilized a Hotchkis subframe kit due to the boat load of torque the engine produces.
This is a factory AC car with electric windows, tilt wheel, electric trunk, factory gauge cluster and power top.
Thanks & Best Regards
