Description
Butler has had proven results with Comp Cams. These cams are custom grinds that we stock on the shelf. This takes the headache out of trying to get the custom grind for your application. We have spent lots of resources perfecting the components of our proven engines and these cams are the common grinds you will find inside them. We realized that we were asking for the same custom grinds for our applications so we decided to stock what we use.
(HR) (Std Firing Order/ Std Journals) 282/288, 230/236, .510/.521, 112LS with 1.5 ratio rockers

Choose Idle Quality:
- Milder 114 Lobe Separation- Smoother, More Vacuum- BP8023SP
- Performance 112 Lobe Separation- Medium Choppiness- BP8022SP
- More Aggressive 110 Lobe Separation- Rougher Style Choppy Idle- BP8024SP
What Is Lobe-Separation Angle? LSA is the distance from the centerline of the intake lobe to the centerline of exhaust lobe.
Tighter lobe separation results in a rougher idle and less idle manifold vacuum but delivers more midrange and peak power. Wider lobe separation resulted in a higher top-end and makes more vacuum but makes less peak power with a less aggressive idle.
