Customer Engines » Clayton, Kevin Super Duty 455
455 Super Duty Engine with some upgraded internals! Upgrades include 4-bolt Billet main caps an upgrade to strengthen everything up for the Forged Scat 4.250" stroke crank paired with Scat H-Beam rods with ARP 2000 rod bolt upgrade. Upgraded the top end with Morel Hydraulic roller lifters riding on a BP/Comp Custom Grind cam with 112 Lobe Separation. The customer went with Scorpion 1.5 ratio Endurance series roller rockers and we reworked the factory Super Duty Round port heads that have ferrea valves along with Comp Cams locks, retainers, and locators. This engine looks as good if not better than it left the factory but it will walk off and leave any factory engine out there. This Stock Appearing SD achieves 503.2 Hp with 583.3 Torque, and that torque number was achieved at 3600 RPM!
(Dyno numbers achieved with our dyno headers and not stock SD Exhaust) Everything was kept original on the outside including the carb, valve covers, distributor, wires, spark plugs, coil and an exact Slate Blue paint that is the same as when it rolled out of the factory.

How much hp/tq would it lose with good cast RA exhaust manifolds?
