Customer Engines » Kuhn, Frank
Franks engine pays just the right amount of homage to the original engine design that came in his '69 GTO but also just the right amount of muscle to put the rice burners to shame. This engine produced 456 Hp and 569 Tq to make keeping tires on this bad boy the biggest issue. Stroked with a 4.250" crank and 4.155" bore Ross pistons to make this stroker kit add that needed umphhh every time you step on the skinny pedal. With an 11- bolt high flow water pump and Lunatti Cam this engine is meant to be driven; whether that drive is leisurely or at break neck speeds is up to Frank but it has been built with all that in mind to help keep it cool during both. With a set of Edelbrock D-port heads paired with a Edelbrock RPM intake lets the top end flow as much as the Stage 2 Q-Jet carburetor can handle. The looks that Frank was going for turned out to my liking especially, really giving that old-school vibe somehow just fits so well with a GTO.
