Description
Pontiac Adapter Plate To mount Starter on 1961-1964 Blocks when using Later Transmission (1/4" thick) *requires early, bellhousing mount-style starter and- 1965 and later flexplate
Bolt holes in a later style transmission will need to be enlarged from 3/8 to 7/16 when using a 1963 an earlier Pontiac block
May need ring adapter for the center hole with new style flexplates to match center hub on the rear of crank see part number BPI-1024*
For auto trans only
The crank pilot hole will not accept a stock TH350 or TH400 torque converter. The pilot hole on the pre-64 Pontiac crank is 1.625” and the newer converter snout is around 1.75”. The pilot hole depth in the crank also needs to be made a little bit deeper.
INCLUDES COUNTER SUNK STARTER BOLTS
