Comments: Hi, usual great ARP product, I used these studs to replace the bolts on a Pontiac 421 SD with 4 bolt mains on a 69 GTO convertible, while installing a Viton rear main seal. My hopefully helpful message here is that when changing from main bolts to studs, the studs are about 3/8" taller and best practice is to check the clearance to the windage tray prior, if using one. I am not a pro and didn't know this so since I had already bought and torqued them down it cost me another $159 to buy the windage tray. I am using the Canton oil pan CAN-15-400 and probably a stock windage tray. Maybe theres a better way but I only know what I know. Would be great if there were more reviews, its hard to decipher weirdo forum info and Butler surely is top notch pro, but for us amateurs wrenching at night alone is rough, lucky i got a good wife to bring me a sandwich. Thanks, Shane (Cape Cod)
