Customer Engines » Smith, Lancha
Lancha is installing this engine in his 69 GTO with a manual trans so that the beast can be awakened. With a 400 block as a foundation of this build Lancha decided on 455 cubic inches of Pontiac Power as the target. This put us to task starting with balancing his Eagle 4.210" stroke forged crank with 6.625 Eagle H-Beam rods and Ross 4.150 Flat top pistons. Went with the Comp Cams 3315/3316 with a 112 lobe separation to achieve the perfect balance between Torque and HorsePower. Paired with scorpion 3053 1.65 Endurance series rockers to help hit some of the higher RPM's. A set of our SVC-2 aluminum valve covers keep those rockers covered and in-between those sit an Edelbrock 7156 intake portmatched to a set of EDL-61575 D-port heads. Lancha's choices on what he wanted and what he was looking for resulted in some amazing dyno numbers. TQ= 577 & HP= 500
