**When choosing 66-68 APE-N280 Upper Tube A/C Application; THIS IS THE UPPER DIPSTICK TUBE W/MOUNTING TAB FOR A/C APPLIC. ONLY. THE OUTSIDE DIAMETER OF THIS TUBE MAY BE A FEW THOUSANDTHS TOO LARGE TO SLIDE INTO THE "BLOCK" TUBE. THE O.D. ON THIS TUBE IS ABOUT .373". MATERIAL CAN BE REMOVED TO ALLOW BETTER FIT OR THE TOP SECTION OF THE BLOCK TUBE CAN BE CAREFULLY SWEDGED OUTWARD TO ACCEPT THE UPPER TUBE. THE BRACKET ON THIS BOLTS TO THE LOWER HOLE OF THE A/C COMPRESSOR LOWER REAR MOUNTING BRACKET (N142G) (PIVOT BOLT). NON-A/C CARS HAVE A SHORTER DIPSTICK AND DO NOT USE THIS UPPER TUBE.

The block tube has a slightly bigger OD on the extruded area to accommodate blocks with excessive wear but still able to be pressed in on standard size blocks.

Not for use with Aftermarket Alm blocks

We recommend you buff the tube at the extruded area where it transitions to the enlarged extruded. This reduces the OD of the taper to allow it to start more easily.

Dipstick install tube recommended so the installation does not damage the tube where the lower tube slides in.
