Butler Ultimate Pontiac Block Plug Kit

Everything a factory iron Pontiac block needs to be sealed, in one kit:

• Brass coolant core plugs for the block sides and the rear face
• Camshaft tunnel plug
• Press-in front oil galley plugs, plus two optional 3/8" threaded plugs for the front of the block to use in lieu of the press-ins
• Threaded oil galley plugs, including the drilled plug that goes inside the block behind the distributor
• Brass drain spigots
• Custom Butler pipe plug install tool

The drilled behind-the-distributor plug is the reason this kit exists. It is hidden under the externally visible plug on the back of the block, machine shops routinely pull it to hot-tank a block and do not always put it back, and the result is passenger-side lifters clattering with the driver side quiet.

(Some plugs may be seized and you may need to apply heat to remove them, to keep from breaking the tool end.)
