Non-Electric Choke Carbs- Will work with a Banjo Fitting from Russell (Part #640273).
Electric Choke Carbs- Will not work
Filter cleaning- gentle soap and hot water wash, no high pressure hose or air hose drying, air dry only, these filters are oil free

To use a shaker scoop from an Oldsmobile engine you will need to locate another shaker from a Pontiac application. (See pictures to identify) The bottom portion of the shaker unit is metal and is riveted to the fiberglass shaker. The Olds and Pontiac fiberglass portion of the unit are the same. The rivets will need to be drilled and the metal portion removed to be attached to the corresponding application.

Great fit for my application. I have a Pro Plus intake and Holley 750 DP and want to have the option of a functional flap in the shaker. The intake was designed to keep stock shaker location, so different than the RPM, but it fits perfect and looks clean.

Unit works and looks just fine. On top of an Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holley 4150 carb, I use a half inch adaptor which clears the float bowls, seals the shaker to the hood and allows it to shake as it should. The only drawback I encountered is the somewhat difficult attachment of the shaker to the base with my OEM ring clamp. A very close fit slows down the time required to put the shaker on. It's a factor to me because I only place the shaker on the base if I get caught in the rain. The engine is tuned with an open element in mind which is the normal operating mode.

Comments:
I bought a 77 Trans AM with an Edelbrock Performer RPM and a Holly Street Avenger carb. The former owned raced the car and had a 14" air cleaner sticking out of the hood. Ugly as hell! One option was to install a stock intake and spend around $750 for the missing shaker components or spend $249 for this unit and keep the intake and carb the way it was. I'm really glad I went with the drop base. Installation was a snap, with no issues. The only modification needed was to shorten the air cleaner stud 2".
