Rear of the block, passenger side outer oil galley — 15/16" steel press-in plug. This is the externally visible one; the drilled 3/8" plug (PIO-PP475) is recessed underneath it and goes in first. One per engine.

Description

The oil galley plug you can see from outside on the back of the block, passenger side. It is a press-in cup plug, not threaded.

It is not the same plug as the drilled 3/8" NPT pipe plug (PIO-PP475) that sits recessed underneath it, and the two are not interchangeable — both get called “the rear oil galley plug” in conversation. Fit the hidden threaded plug first; this one seals over the top of it. Press this one in first and you have sealed off the plug behind it.
