Supercharge Your Pontiac — Kits, Parts, and Engines Built for Boost

Butler Performance engineers its own ProCharger mounting systems for the Pontiac 326–455, stocks the complete TorqStorm Pontiac line, and builds engines and engine kits designed from the first measurement to live under boost. One call gets you the blower, the drive, the fuel system, and an engine that can take it.

Why Centrifugal Superchargers Took Over the Pontiac World

For decades, big Pontiac power meant a roots blower sticking through the hood or a nitrous bottle in the trunk. Today, more Pontiac owners choose a belt-driven centrifugal supercharger than ever — and supercharger kits are one of the fastest-growing categories at Butler. Here's why:

Keeps the classic lookThe head unit mounts on the front of the engine and feeds a blow-through carb hat, so most Pontiacs keep a stock-style hood. Big power, no scoop required.
Streetable mannersBoost builds with RPM, so the car idles and cruises like a naturally aspirated Pontiac and pulls harder the higher it revs. That makes it easier on tires, drivetrain, and driver.
Bolt-on and serviceableTorqStorm and the ProCharger head units in our kits are self-contained — no oil lines plumbed into the engine. Pulley changes adjust boost without touching the engine.
Room to growStart with a single TorqStorm on a mild engine, or go straight to a Butler cog-drive ProCharger kit rated up to 1250 hp. The same Pontiac platform scales with you.
Modern fuel optionsBlow-through carburetors and power-adder throttle-body EFI make fueling a boosted Pontiac far simpler than it used to be.

How Butler Builds a Supercharger-Ready Pontiac

A supercharger doesn't just add power — it adds cylinder pressure, heat, and belt load. We build a boosted Pontiac to handle all three from day one, instead of hoping a naturally aspirated combination survives.

CompressionFor our supercharger kits we target 8.75–9.5:1 with aluminum heads on 93-octane pump gas. Compression is set with the piston dish and chamber size, based on your actual heads and blower.
Forged pistons & rodsCustom Ross forged pistons are spec'd for boost from the start, paired with Molnar 4340 forged Power Adder H-beam rods (MTE-CH6700VTB-T8-A / MTE-CH6800VTB-T8-A).
Power Adder camsButler/Comp cams ground specifically for centrifugal boost: CCA-BP9010 for TorqStorm and Stage 1 ProCharger combinations, CCA-BP9015 for Stage 2 big ProCharger builds.
Cylinder headsOur machine shop offers CNC forced-induction chamber work and boost chamber softening to set chamber volume and reduce detonation-prone hot spots.
Bottom end & crank driveBillet 4-bolt main caps and main studs keep the crank in place under load. Our complete ProCharger kits include our crank pinning kit (BPI-PCH-1027) so the blower belt can't move the balancer.
Fuel & tuningBlow-through carbs or power-adder EFI, a boost-capable fuel pump, and a boost-referenced regulator. We can dyno-tune boosted engines here in Lawrenceburg.
